Finally! My 2024 Planner Lineup Reveal
It's about time - I've been collecting bits and pieces for months!
Can you believe it? Christmas will be here inside of a week, with New Year to follow in another week. The fall season has flown by and we’re about to begin anew again!
This naturally brings me to the topic of this month’s newsletter: my 2024 planner lineup! Finally! All of the main components have arrived! I’ve been waiting patiently and collecting the pieces for 3 months now. I have one more cover and a few more tools coming, but I’ve already moved in and have started using my 2024 planners.
Let’s start with my workhorse planner. For 2024, I decided to continue using a bullet journal. Pre-dated planners just don’t work for me (even though I keep buying them and then destashing them). So I formally came to my senses and gave up that fight. I’m a bujo girl to the core and I’ve become adept at making my monthly, weekly, and daily layouts quickly so I’m confident and happy with that choice.

I’ve been in love with my “pocket” bujo since 2022 when I first started one (inspired by Helen of The Coffee Monsterz Co), so why change a good thing? For 2024, I’m just tweaking the size, paper, and layouts (you know, basically, everything LOL). I’ll keep my Muji 0.5mm pen for now but may switch to fountain pens once it runs out.
And the basic structure of my monthly, weekly, and daily layouts will be relatively the same. I’ll still do a 2-month calendar spread, but add in 2-3 pages for monthly trackers and goals.
I still love my one-page weekly tracker so that will stay the same.
I’ll be moving to one-page dailies given I’m going down a size to Passport and adding in an hourly schedule. Before, I did 2 vertical days per page.
This week, I’m playing with the idea of combining my bujo and commonplace journal into one. I’m not sure it will work, but it might be interesting to try. This is why I love bujos - you can do whatever you want at any time. 😂
Because I decided to bujo again for 2024, my new lineup is focused on the covers. I invested in the Baum-Kuchen Truly Yours service and customized a Passport (my new wallet) and a Standard size (to house my new Standard Stalogy journal)! I purchased a matching twin set and am over the moon about how they turned out!
You can catch my full Baum-Kuchen Truly Yours unboxing video here on Instagram, which shows both the outsides and insides of each customized cover:
It was a wonderful experience working with Baum-Kuchen and I would do it again in a heartbeat! If you missed my post from earlier this year on how that went and the lessons learned, you can find it here:
I also purchased some lovely planner inserts from Nobuku (which came from Spain!) to create storage space and a nice aesthetic.
Finally, I invested in new tools. I decided against putting my chonky bujo into my Baum-Kuchen wallet due to the bulk. Instead, I have it housed in a clear Passport insert (the Alecia Plans x Lauren Phelps Design collaboration - below on the right):
In the future when I switch to a slimmer notebook, I may move my bujo back in.
The Alecia Plans x Lauren Phelps Design Passport insert is so roomy I can even put my Muji pen in the back spine. Perfect fit! There are so many pockets in this insert that I have used them to show off some funny stickers.
For 2024, I also decided to minimize my embellishments. I don’t plan on using tons of washi and stickers as I did in my a6 Leuchtturm1917 bujo for 2023. This will create crazy amounts of bulk in the Stalogy bujo. Instead, I’m going back to my papercrafting roots and using stamps for 2024!
So I bought some Rylee Autumn handy stamps for making my monthly and weekly layouts a breeze!
I also ordered this awesome little Eric x Sanby rotating stamp from JetPens to create headers on my daily pages.
In addition to the Baum-Kuchen splurge, I decided to spring for some new fountain pens. I fell in love with the Horizon pen line by Nahvalur so I got two from them, one in the stunning Wonderland resin (below, left) and one called Dawn (below, right):
I also ordered extra nib sizes for these pens so I could find my perfect match. I own a small stash of fountain pens already and have found that nib sizes are not the same across manufacturers, although they’re called “Extra Fine”, “Fine”, “Medium”, “Broad”, or “Stub.” Also, different types of fountain pen inks require a variety of nib sizes due to their different properties. Nahvalurs run a little larger.
These fountain pens will sit on my desk and be used in my journal, commonplace notebook, bujo (when the time comes), etc. Basically…whenever I feel like writing with fountain pen ink!
What haven’t I received yet? I’m waiting on a beautiful new matcha/glossy boots Passport cover from Le Cow. I have this same cover in a Pocket size and wanted a matching one in Passport size, as it’s one of my favorite planner covers ever. There will always be a use for Passport and Pocket-sized notebook covers in this house. 😂 I have a variety of other covers and notebooks for on-demand work (not Etsy-related) notes and ideas. These notebooks are not date-restricted and carry over from year to year.
Finally, I ordered some Tomoe River paper notebooks from Sweet Freckled Designs to move into next once my Stalogy Passport bujo is filled out. Now that I’m going back to fountain pens and stamping ink, it’s time to return to Tomoe River paper to get the full benefit of them. Stalogy paper, while super awesome (I love that crinkle sound!), can tend to bleed when it comes to fountain pen ink, as most papers do.
Finally, something that is not new and will carry over from my 2023 lineup is my pretty little Starbucks passport cover. I hold a special fur baby journal in it as well as my current commonplace memory book. (It started as a commonplace book but then morphed into a memory book.)
In the new year, I’ll talk about swatching inks and tips for having a successful low-spend year. I’ll also show more of my layouts once I finish playing with them in this final month of 2023 and figure out how I want them to look!

Until then, have a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year! 🎄 I hope you all get some quality downtime with loved ones.
Cheers to 2024! 🍾
Nice to see your planner line-up! Surprise surprise, I bought the Hobonichi A6 for 2024! After I publicly declared that I did not enjoy it this year, I'm going back! I do my dailies in the A6 and my bujo collections are scattered across Notion and a Remarkable 2 paper tablet. But I think this hybrid system is really working for me! Can't wait to see how you use your lineup!
The Hobonichi a6 was my very first Japanese analog planner years ago. I’m glad you’re trying it again!
